Hannah exhibits in the Salon des Jeunes. This initiative by Schoonvolk, MSK’s youth crew, was inspired by the Ghentian ‘salons’. These were 19th century initiatives where every three years, artists exhibited their new creations in a combination of an exhibition, art competition and gallery. Schoonvolk challenged young talent to draw inspiration from MSK works by old masters such as Ensor, Van Rysselberghe or Van Dyck, made when they themselves were still young, searching and still a little wet behind the ears.
Especially for this exhibition Hannah has created a new work, Nightgown, inspired by the work of a young Minne. This will be exhibited together with works by other young talents from 7 October to 31 January in “Room E” at MSK.
